Welcome to our Foundation Stage 1 Class page!
I would like to welcome you to our Foundation Stage 1 Nursery class and St Theresa’s School.
What a difficult time this is! No home visits, no school visits and even no school for some!
Despite this, I would like to reassure you that we have all our risk assessments in place and have spent the summer preparing the classrooms to keep all children safe and are now excited to welcome children back to school.
What to bring
Your child will need to bring a water bottle (which will be sent home each day to be washed in warm, soapy water), a healthy snack and a bag with a change of clothes to leave on their pegs.
Those children with 30 hours funding will need to bring their lunch in a named, disposable paper bag also.
Arriving at Nursery
You will need to enter by the Nursery gate on Kipling Road at 8:45am and collect your child from here at 11:45.
Those 30 hour children will need to be collected from the Foundation Stage 2 door at 3pm. (Mrs Roberts will email a picture for you to see).
Starting Nursery or School can be daunting for any child (and school staff!) but especially after such a long time spent at home with family.
We have lots of fun activities to enjoy in Nursery, but if your child arrives upset and cannot be coaxed in gently by the hand, you will need to take them home and then bring them back through the school office once they have calmed down. This is due to current guidance regarding social distancing.
As always, if you have any questions or queries, please contact me via email at –
Or, contact the school office after 3pm.
Despite the new measures in place and the unusual current circumstances, I know that school staff, children and parents will all work together.
We are very much looking forward to seeing you soon and welcoming your child to our school family here at St Theresa’s.
