Your child will grow and develop lots throughout the year. Click the link below:

10 things you can do before you leave EYFS

Homework

Homework will be sent home on Thursday and returned on Mondays.

Reading

We regularly read with the children individually and as a group during the week. It is very important that you read with your child everyday after school or later in the evening for 10 minutes. Children are to bring in their reading folders every day where they will receive books to read at home. One book will be a reading book that matches our phonic teaching each week and one a story book for reading for pleasure. We will keep the reading folders in school on Thursdays to change the books. Please keep the books in your child's reading folder every day. Please comment in the yellow reading folders to say how your child is getting on with Reading each time your child reads. Thank you.

 P.E.

Our PE day is on a Tuesday. Please provide your child with their PE kit in a labelled bag. Red T-shirt, navy shorts/leggings and black pumps. PE kits will need to stay in school and will be sent home at the end of each half term to be washed.

Water bottles

The children need to have access to water all day. If your child needs a water bottle to drink from they can be purchased from the office.  It is parent’s responsibility to collect water bottles from the classroom/outside and take them home to be washed daily.

Snack

The children in reception have a snack mid-morning which will be a variety of fruit and a drink of milk/ water.  As the school receive this free there is no charge for snack this academic year.

Forest Skills

Every so often we go into 'The Dell' to extend our learning and explore the outdoors! Please ensure that wellies or trainers are kept at school and a change of trousers or skirt. Thank you.
